This space is built for you—whether you never learned to cook, aren’t sure how to create a realistic and healthy lifestyle around food, or you’re a new mom wondering what “BLW” even means. My mission is to help you spend less time stressing over what to make for dinner, and more time connecting with your family.

My Story

Hi, I’m Brooke, and I am so glad you are here.

First and foremost, I am a Mama.

Motherhood changed me on a cellular level. Having never changed a diaper in my life, I had to build my journey as a parent from the ground up. This has been the happiest season of my life and I am so incredibly grateful to be home with my toddler, living the best parts of my life fully.

For a long time, I never thought staying home was an option for me. During maternity leave, with my newborn infant glued to my body, the choice suddenly felt like life or death. I looked at the phrase people so often use to justify the grueling daycare grind—“you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do to make things work”—and I completely flipped the script. I thought: No. I need to do what I need to do to make staying home work so I can be with my son. When I needed the courage to have the difficult conversations with both my husband and my boss, I leaned on a single mantra: “If a mother’s love isn’t strong enough to help me do this, then what is?”

Stepping away wasn’t a casual lifestyle choice; as my family’s primary earner, it was a massive financial risk. To this day, my husband’s salary doesn’t fully cover our monthly expenses. While our core bills get paid, managing variable costs like groceries and basic shopping remains a delicate balancing act. Navigating a practical, mindful budget is a daily reality, but it drives my mission to show that a low-toxicity, health-focused lifestyle is absolutely within reach.

Before choosing this path, I spent ten years as a corporate operations manager. I loved structure, strategy, and efficiency. Today, I still use those exact corporate skills every single day—they’re just focused on building an organized, low-tox, and peaceful home instead.
It hasn’t been easy, but it has been beautifully transformative.

The first year with my son was a blur of slow, quiet days, breastfeeding, and contact naps. Year Two found me in the kitchen, radically re-educating myself on nutrition and scratch-cooking for my blossoming eater. Year Three—with a vibrant 2.5-year-old—finds my days beautifully consumed by crafting real, wholesome food that fuels his growth.

I look back at my pre-baby kitchen skills and barely recognize myself. I believe every child deserves a strong baseline for health, and the opportunity to watch, learn, and master the basic life skills of sourcing real ingredients and cooking nutritious food.
I have come a long, long way, and have created this space to share everything I’ve learned, developed, and curated. I’m here to help make your days a little smoother and keep your little ones full of nourishing, delicious food. Welcome to Every Mom Kitchen!
